We have lost one of television's most beloved and familiar personalities with the death of Fred Rogers on February 27, 2003. He was known to millions of American children and adults from the program he created and, from 1968 to 2001, hosted--Mister Rogers' Neighborhood--the longest-running program in PBS history.
