Donald J. Meneghetti, a former member of TEI's San Francisco Chapter, died in late October. Mr. Meneghetti, who joined TEI in 1971, was the former Director of Taxes for Foremost-McKesson Corporation (now known as McKesson Corp.) and later became the Manager of Tax Compliance for Wells Fargo Bank. He received his B.S. degree in Accounting from the University of San Francisco, and was a certified public accountant and had previously worked for the California Franchise Tax Board. He served in a number of positions in the San Francisco Chapter, including Treasurer during the 1973-1974. In 1987, he resigned his position as a tax executive to go into business with a son-in-law; their pallet manufacturing business grew to be the largest in the United States. He was an associate member of the chapter for a number of years. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rosemarie, four daughters and sons-in-law, and eight grandchildren.

Charles A. Thomas, a long-time member of TEI's Philadelphia Chapter, died on November 27, 2010. Born in 1928, Mr. Thomas was raised in the Panama Canal Zone, where his father worked on the construction of the canal and was later chief maintenance engineer on the Gatun Locks. He attended St. Vincent's College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, earning a B.S. degree in Accounting, and ultimately becoming a certified public accountant. Mr. Thomas served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, earning a Combat Medical Badge and Bronze Star.
