Impeachment now?

The article on impeachment was superb ("Grounds for Impeachment," by Matthew Rothschild, April issue). The Republican Congress is clearly condoning the shameless Bush-Cheney contempt for the Constitution.

We need a great "impeachment election" in November to retire the "more of the same" Republican Congress, followed by an ultimatum to Bush and Cheney. Reverse these crimes now or face impeachment.

If the Democrats take the House in the fall, the temptation will be strong to move for impeachment. This would be a mistake, at least politically.

With a majority in place, they will be able to stifle Bush pretty well for the next...
