ICT's potential in reducing GHG emissions through sustainable manufacturing technologies.

Sectoral features impact the strength of ICT usage and the strength of GHGs released in manufacturing. Expanded dissemination of ICT generates more significant degrees of electricity utilization (income effect), whereas enhanced process improvement from the employment of ICT brings about better energy cost-effectiveness and consequently reduced utilization at particular production levels (substitution effect).
