Some people joke about being hooked on fudge sundaes. But it turns out that certain foods may actually be addictive. The Oregon Research Institute recently conducted an experiment using brain scans on 151 normal-weight teens. Their brain activities were measured before, after, and while they drank chocolate milk shakes. The scans showed that teens who had reported eating lots of ice cream in the two weeks before the study enjoyed their milk shakes less than those who hadn't. This suggests that just as drug abusers and alcoholics need ever larger doses over time, ice cream eaters may need more and more...
