The great Nelson Mandela once said, "There is no passion to be found playing small--in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living." Members of the IADC are not known for "playing small" and enjoy a Global Connection that facilitates a more rewarding legal practice and life for themselves and their families. With this year's theme--IADC Global Connection: For Law. For Life.--we intend to further enhance the unique value of membership with events on each of our membership's five continents.

Roughly a decade ago, Thomas Friedman authored The World is Flat. His book's premise--that rapidly evolving technology allowed greater economic and social opportunity for those connected globally--is truer today than ever before. Ambassador Jack Matlock, the last U.S. Ambassador to the U.S.S.R., served as a witness to history and shared his perspective for our benefit. Austria's Justice Minister Wolfgang Brandstetter shared his views with our members at our Austrian Theme Party. Professor Richard Susskind provided an insightful presentation on the future of legal practice...
