58th Annual Conference October 19-22, 2003 * Hyatt Regency Atlanta celebrate Atlanta and TEI's tradition of excellence.

TEI's 2003 Annual Conference promises to be one of the best in the organization's six-decade history. Congress, the IRS and Treasury Department, the Canadian government, and the States--as well as the courts and the Securities and Exchange Commission--have given tax executives much to cope with and consider. From corporate governance, internal controls, audit workpapers, and tax shelters, to interest calculations, managing claims, and new audit techniques; from bankruptcy and insolvency to section 1031 exchanges; from privilege in a cross-border context to European tax developments, and emerging issues relating to section 482 and mergers and acquisitions, registrants may have a difficult time choosing which concurrent sessions to attend.

Full details of the technical sessions are set forth on the following pages. Special attention should be paid to the keynote speakers--Assistant Treasury Secretary Pam Olson and IRS Commissioner Mark Everson (who will be making his first appearance before a TEI audience)--and to a corporate accountability session involving a Chief Financial Officer.

Individuals registering before September 30 are entitled to an early-bird discount, and members who are attending their first conference can claim an additional $200 discount.

We look forward to seeing you in Atlanta.
