* THE NATIONAL DEFENSE Industrial Association Gulf Coast Chapter, in conjunction with NDIA's Targets, Ranges, and UAVs Division, announced this year's winners of the annual Hugh Harris Scholarship Award.

Each winner received a $1,000 award. The scholarship was established in 1992 in honor of Harris, who was a research and development engineer at Eglin Air Force Base. He was recognized throughout the Defense Department and industry for his advanced ideas and contributions in the development of unmanned aerial target vehicle systems.

The winners are: Lauren Foy, Niceville High School, who graduated in the top 2 percent of a class of 531 students. Foy will be attending the University of Florida and will be pursuing a major in big-engineering/biology.

Graham Piburn, Choctawhatchee High School, was a member of the International Baccalaureate Program, National Merit Finalist, president of the National Honor Society and graduated with all "A's" for his four years of high school.
