This gingerbread house was created by Nancy Bassing, mother of student Chas Bassing, and is a model of Roberts Hall, the most historic building on campus. She crafted the ginger bread house for an event in Washington, D.C. called "Gingertown," which raised money for many charities. Nancy and her family are from Great Falls, Va.

Lora Goldman, mother of student Leigh Goldman, was touched by a gift that Dr. Nido Qubein provides to every student in his freshman seminar to give to a person who has made a deep impact in their life. Leigh gave the gift--a plush bear--to her mother along with a letter that detailed how much she appreciated...
