Hospice Care of South Carolina buys Agap Hospice.

Hospice Care of South Carolina, a portfolio company of The Vistria Group, announced today that it has acquired Agap Hospice, creating the the largest hospice care providers in the state.HCSC is based in Spartanburg; Agap Hospice is headquartered in Columbia.

The combined organization has more than 800 employees and cares for more than 1,400 patients across all 46 counties in the state, according to a news release. Financial terms were not disclosed.

"We are excited to join the HCSC family," Scott Middleton, founder of Agap Hospice, said in the news release. "Working together will allow us to scale and continue to provide exceptional care to individuals and their families during the most sensitive of times."
