The piece in your latest issue regarding the Denver Water Board ("Are we getting hosed on water?" Jeff Rundles, June) expressed well the frustrations of everyone except the economists. I once was one, but I got religion. And a life. As for the H-two-Oh, I'm guessing the Denver Water Board may be the only entity or body that does not feel compelled to part with fixed expenses, assets, staff or liabilities when the squeeze is encountered on demand for its product or service. Of course, when you consider the true political power the Water Board possesses, it probably does not...
