Thank you for "Enough of the D.C. Dems" (by Molly Ivins, March issue). Once again you have coaxed me back from the brink. Saving the country just might be fun if greater numbers find louder voices. South Dakota's abortion bah almost finished me. If it were not for you, Howard Zinn, your editor Matthew Rothschild, and the whole Progressive team, I could be dragging a rope and looking for a rafter.

Yes, there are millions of us who agree with you, Molly. So let's pick a candidate and encourage him (or her) to run. The obvious choice, as Molly suggests, is Russell Feingold, a flat-out hero as far as I'm concerned. So why not inundate him with letters promising money and time if he runs for President? Let's spread the word and let him know that we're behind him. It cannot begin too soon,
