HOMMAGE SHAVING PRODUCTS

Founded with offices in Denver and Paris in 2004, Hommage is the first company to focus on luxury shaving products. "There was a hole in the market," said CEO Tom Wilscam. "No one was going after the luxury niche." In response, Hommage started developing razors and shaving kits with "high design and innovation" in mind and has since gotten its products in more than 500 stores in eight countries.

The catalog includes platinum razor sets, magnetic groom centers with razor, brush and bowl, and a line of shave care products. From $50 (shaving cream) to $6,500 (platinum razor set) retail.

ST. JULIEN SPA PACKAGES

Since opening in 2005, the St. Julien Hotel & Spa has won its share of accolades. For the fall, the spa is introducing a new package called Cranberry-Pomegranate Bliss, which includes a scrub, wrap and facial, all three involving antioxidant-rich cranberries and pomegranates.

"Pumpkin has been really hot lately, but we were looking for something new," said Spa Director Candis Ayers. "People are more aware about antioxidants, so it seemed like a perfect fit for fall." Also new at the St. Julien is a spa club card that offers discounts (including 50 percent off on three treatments during the month of the holder's birthday) and other perks. Gift certificates are also available. Cranberry-Pomegranate Bliss: $220; spa club card: $149.

AVALON ACOUSTICS SPEAKERS

Founded in 1988, Avalon Acoustics is known for its super-premium speakers, sometimes costing more than $100,000 a pair. Expensive, yes, but for audiophiles, it's money well spent, said VP Lucien Pichette. "Owner and Chief Designer Neil Patel has the ability to visualize a sound and reproduce it," Pichette said of the company's secrets.

In 2007, Avalon debuted a new model in the Indra, a continuation on a trend the company started with its Isis speakers, which run $60,000 a pair. "It's about pushing boundaries and pushing technology," said Pichette of Avalon speakers' designs. Indra: $20,000 a pair retail.
