A recent survey of Global 2000 transaction tax leaders conducted by Sabrix Inc. revealed that:

* 96 percent believe that despite the end of the recession, transaction tax will continue to be an area of focus.

* 83 percent have experienced an increased number of audits due to state and local revenue shortfalls.

* In response to the economic downturn, 45 percent reduced headcount, but 45 percent also increased their investment in tax technologies.
