Recently the right-wing columnist Robert Novak spotted more evidence of this problem: Hillary's statement in her recent Selma speech on how impressed she had been hearing Martin Luther King speak in Chicago in 1963. Had she forgotten, Novak asked, that Barry Goldwater, whose presidential campaign she ardently supported a year after being so impressed by Dr. King, was a dedicated opponent of civil rights legislation? In the past, Hillary herself has disclosed her support for Goldwater, but it was not mentioned in Selma. I'm afraid that the Selma speech means a persistence...
