I nearly dropped my firmly implanted original teeth when I read Jim Hightower's March column, "Antibiotics Gone Mad."

Yes, anti-bacterial soaps and parents demanding antibiotics for their little darlings' colds are problems. But, hey, Jim: About 80 percent of antibiotic misuse in the United States comes from the factory-livestock industry using sub-therapeutic doses to allow continued massive overcrowding of animals.
