* Heard an update on the proposed new global professional credential and approved language for a Council resolution for presentation to Council (The CPA Letter, Oct.).

* Received a report on the AICPA's testimony before the SEC on its independence rulemaking proposal and reviewed elements of the Institute's draft comment letter to the SEC (The CPA Letter, Oct.).
