Highlights of Board of Directors' July Meeting.

Among other actions at its meeting on July 12-13, the AICPA Board of Directors:

* Was given a progress report on recent activities relating to the planned computerization of the Uniform CPA Examination, including contracting with a company that will administer the exam at its testing centers throughout the country.

* Heard about efforts to inform members about the proposed new global business credential, and unanimously approved a resolution continuing its support of the project.

* Was updated on AICPA activities regarding a congressional request for the General Accounting Office to study the integrity and effectiveness of the CPA profession's governance system...
