* Maj. Gen. Anthony Potts passed away on July 25 in an airplane accident. Potts completed more than 36 years of distinguished service, most recently serving as Program Executive Officer, Command, Control and Communication (Tactical), Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.

James Smith has resigned as Special Operations Command's acquisition executive. His deputy Bill Innes takes his place in an acting capacity.

The Office of Naval Research Global, the organization's international arm, welcomed Capt. Andy "Big Tuna" Berner as the new ONR Global commanding officer during a ceremony at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland. Berner takes over from Capt. Matthew Farr.

Submersible manufacturer VideoRay named Navy veteran Todd Holtz as the company's new director of product and innovation. Holtz will play a role in developing new underwater robotic systems, expanding payloads, enhancing testing and quality control processes and optimizing new technologies for production.

Strider Technologies announced that former Defense Innovation Unit Deputy Director Mike Madsen is joining the company as vice president of national security solutions. Madsen will oversee Strider's global portfolio of public sector clients.

The Chertoff Group, a security advisory firm, announced the addition of two senior advisors to its team, Douglas Fears and Sir Chris Tickell. Fears will focus on federal business development growth for clients and Tickell will focus on business development and growth.

Bohemia Interactive Simulations, a subsidiary of BAE Systems Inc., named Rahul Thakkar as its new president. Thakkar will be responsible for the overall strategic direction and day-to-day business operations as well as assessing key domestic and international markets.
