* Milancy D. Harris was sworn in as the new deputy undersecretary of defense for intelligence and security. She had previously served as the deputy assistant secretary of defense for irregular warfare and counterterrorism in the office of the assistant secretary of defense for special operations and low-intensity conflict.

GE named Alexander Schmitz as CEO of GE Additive. Based in Munich, Germany, Schmitz will report to GE Additive's current chief executive, Riccardo Procacci, who takes on an expanded leadership role at GE Aerospace. Schmitz was most recently CEO of FlexLink. The Charleston Defense Contractors Association promoted Paula Callahan to executive director after serving as operations executive since 2018. The Center for a New American Security hired Andrew Metrick as a fellow in its defense program. Prior to joining CNAS, Metrick was a campaign analyst and wargamer at Northrop Grumman.

Samir Mehta was appointed president of the communication systems segment of L3Harris Technologies. Mehta served in leadership positions at Collins Aerospace and Lockheed Martin's Sikorsky business. He takes over the responsibilities of Dana Mehnert, who will retire following an almost four-decade career with the company.
