It's a sign of the times: Airbus has appointed Eduardo Dominguez Puerta as head of urban air mobility, a new company unit dedicated to the emerging technology better known as "flying cars." The unit will oversee three different projects and be based in Munich, Germany.

BAE Systems named Peter B. Trainer as the vice president and general manager of its Air Force Solutions business area. Trainer, a long-time defense executive and career Air Force officer, came from SAIC, where he was responsible for business development, management and strategy within the company's Air Force operations business unit.

Justin Gans recently joined Elbit Systems of America as vice president of strategy and corporate development. In this newly created position, Gans will execute the company's corporate development and growth strategies. Gans was most recently at Northrop Grumman.

FlightSafety International announced that Hector Zarate has been named interim president of FlightSafety Services Corp. He replaces Ron Ladnier who is retiring.
