The Army in December shifted around some of its program executive officers. It announced that Maj. Gen. David G. Bassett, currently the Army's program executive officer for ground combat systems in Warren, Michigan, is being sent to Aberdeen Proving Ground where he takes over as PEO command, control and communication-tactical. Brig. Gen. (P) Brian P. Cummings of PEO soldier shifts over to ground combat systems and Brig. Gen. Anthony W. Potts, currently deputy commanding general of the Army Research, Development and Engineering Command, takes the reins of PEO soldier.

On the industry side, FLIR Systems Inc. named David Ray president of its government and defense business unit. Ray spent 15 years at Raytheon, most recently as its VP global business development and strategy for its intelligence, information and services division.

Former Airbus chief technology officer Paul Eremenko will take on the same role at United Technologies Corp. Eremenko succeeds J. Michael McQuade, who is retiring.

And starting Feb. 1, Meg Whitman hands over the reins of Hewlett Packard Enterprise to Antonio Neri, the company's president...
