Hats off to David Cavers, Jr. legal fellows: fellowship program offers students inside-look at advocacy.

EACH YEAR, CLF HAS THE PRIVILEGE TO OFFER David Cavers, Jr. Legal Fellowships to a handful of talented second and third year law students who want to learn more about environmental law and public interest advocacy. This highly competitive fellowship is awarded to law students who exemplify the ethic of the late David Cavers. As a legal volunteer and member of CLF's Board of Directors for nearly 20 years, Cavers worked passionately to protect New England's environment.

In the summer months, Cavers Fellows come from around the country to work at CLF on issues ranging from renewable energy and public transit to water pollution and fisheries management. "The Cavers Legal Fellows greatly strengthen CLF's ability to pursue complex, cutting-edge advocacy across New England," says Eloise Lawrence, co-chair of CLF's internship committee. "They bring fresh perspectives to our environmental advocacy and an invigorating energy to our staff."
