Known for its spectacular terrain and tourism, southern Indiana's newest tourist attraction is the world's largest gaming vessel, Caesars' "The Glory of Rome." Opened in November 1998 in the small town of Elizabeth and now employing 2,300 in its riverboat casino, pavilion and 503-room hotel, Caesars is the largest employer in this Ohio River county.

The county's manufacturers include Corydon's Tower Automotive, which makes metal-stamped body components for the Ford Explorer. The company has increased employment from 600 to 800. A poultry processor, Tyson Foods also has boosted employment--by 25 to 625. The third-largest industry is dining and bedroom furniture-maker Keller Manufacturing, with 525 on the job at sites in Corydon and New Salisbury. And Oxford Automotive in Corydon recently completed a $14 million expansion and now employs 260.
