Emerald Consulting Group LLC has announced that Harpoon Construction Group Inc. of Anchorage has acquired controlling interest in Emerald as part of an overall strategic partnership.

Emerald provides process engineering, process safety, risk management, and health, safety and environmental management services to the oil and gas industry in Alaska and the Lower 48. Harpoon has a diversified portfolio of companies and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ukpeagveik Inupiat Corp., the Barrow village corporation.

Emerald will continue to operate as a stand alone firm in the Harpoon holding company, offering the high quality of specialized services that the firm is recognized for throughout the oil industry.
