GREETINGS FROM THE CHAIR OF THE INTERNATIONAL LAW SECTION

Dear International Law Section Members:

On behalf of your Executive Committee, welcome to the latest issue of The California International Law Journal.

I want to start by thanking Will Pao and Mary Hansel, who have served as the Journal's Editor-in-Chief and Co-Managing Editor respectively these past 3 years. Together they built an outstanding Editorial Board that has been hard at work on this edition with the new Editor-in-Chief Mark Danis and Co-Managing Editor Peter Friedman.

Our Programs subcommittee plans and presents live programs throughout the year, as well as numerous webinars. The Programs subcommittee encourages you to attend the following programs organized for this year's Annual State Bar Meeting:

  • EB-5 Immigrant Investor Update
  • Unaccompanied Minors: An International Law Approach to the Humanitarian Crisis at the Border
  • On-line Sales to EU-Customers under the 2011 EU-Consumer Rights Directive
  • Protecting Clients' Trademark Rights Around the World
  • Aerospace, Defense and Export Controls - A Regulatory Minefield
