Grants for Management Accounting research awarded.

The AICPA recently awarded two research grants in management accounting. They were granted in collaboration with the Management Accounting Section of the American Accounting Association.

One went to Barry Mishra, Ph.D.. and Erik Rolland. Ph.D., from the University of California, Riverside, who will study' "'A Strategic Framework for Internal Control Risk Identification and Analysis." The researchers believe such a framework will contribute to a better integration of people, processes and technology in the development of a company's total internal control risk profile.

The other went to Shannon W. Anderson, Ph.D., of Rice University and Anne M. Lillis. Ph.D.. from the University of Melbourne, Australia...
