Scope: The National Endowment for the Arts seeks
applications for the FY2021 Grants for Arts Projects
2 announcement to support public engagement with,
and access to, various forms of excellent art across
the nation, the creation of art that meets the highest
standards of excellence, learning in the arts at all stages
of life and the integration of the arts into the fabric of
community life.
Deadline: July 9, 2020.
Funds: A 1:1 match is required. Awards range from
$10,000 to $100,000.
Eligibility: Colleges and universities; nonprot
organizations; and state, local, special district and Native
American tribal governments; among others.
Areas: NEA said it encourages projects that address any
of the following activities: celebrate America’s creativity
and/or cultural heritage; invite a dialogue that fosters a
mutual respect for the diverse beliefs and values of all
persons and groups; enrich our humanity by broadening
our understanding of ourselves as individuals and as a
society; and encourage federal agencies to engage with
typically underserved constituencies.

Our Town (NEA)
Scope: The National Endowment for the Arts seeks
applications for the Our Town announcement to support
projects that integrate arts, culture and design activities
into efforts that strengthen communities by advancing
local economic, physical and/or social outcomes.
Deadline: Aug. 6, 2020.
Funds: Cost share/matching grants range from $25,000
to $150,000, with a minimum cost share/match equal to
the grant amount.
Eligibility: Colleges and universities; nonprot
organizations; and state, local, special district and Native
American tribal governments.
Areas: NEA said it encourages applications for
artistically excellent projects that: bring new attention to
or elevate key community assets and issues, voices of
residents, local history or cultural infrastructure; inject
new or additional energy, resources, activity, people
or enthusiasm into a place, community issue or local
economy; envision new possibilities for a community
or place—a new future, a new way of overcoming a
challenge, or approaching problem-solving; and connect
