Grant gives back, earns public service kudos.

Robert B. Grant, a solo practitioner in Orange County, is the recipient of CalCPA's 2007 Public Service Award for his significant contributions to the CPA profession, CalCPA and the community.

Professionally, Grant has worked as an IRS field agent; in the tax department of Arthur Young & Company; was the co-founder of Coleman & Grant CPAs, where he worked for 13 years; and was with Deloitte & Touche for 17 years, becoming an office managing partner in 1995. In June 2005, he started his own business, Robert B. Grant, CPA.

Grant's history of civic involvement spans more than 10 years and includes serving as a board member and in other capacities for 13 organizations, including the Orange County Community Foundation, United Way and the Pediatric Adolescent Diabetes and Research Foundation.
