Gorman Recognized for Fuzing Excellence.

* In recognition of a lifetime of professional dedication to the development of advanced fuzing technologies and armament systems, Philip T. Gorman Jr. was recognized as this year's recipient of the Harry Diamond Fuzing Excellence Award from the National Defense Industrial Association.

Gorman was presented the award during NDIA's 62nd annual Fuze Conference in Buffalo, New York, in May.

Gorman has spent his 36-year federal civilian engineering career in fuzing and has made a substantial impact both nationally and internationally. He currently serves as the senior lead technologist for ordnance at Booz Allen Hamilton. Gorman spent 16 years as the fuze division chief for the Army Armaments Research Development and Engineering Center and was responsible for research, development, production, test and evaluation of fuzes, fuze setters and munitions power...
