Goodbye in Marion. Thomson Multimedia's declining employment in Marion bottomed out at zero in March when the remaining 990 workers learned of the immediate shutdown of the 1-million-square-foot plant. At one time, the television picture tube manufacturer employed as many 3,000 workers.
