Sammi has always been a floater, friendly with everyone at school but not really fitting in anywhere. By her junior year, though, she's made a group of close friends, other oddballs and loners, and finally feels like she belongs. The girls decide to get tattooed together, all getting the same tattoo to symbolize their friendship. When Sammi backs out, the other girls immediately turn on her.
