CLF has joined forces with twelve states, several cities, and over a dozen environmental groups to sue the Bush Administration for continued failure to confront global warming. At issue is EPA's recent decision that carbon dioxide, the key greenhouse gas causing global warming, does not meet the definition of "pollutant" under the Clean Air Act. As a result, EPA need not apply strict Clean Air Act regulations to carbon dioxide. State regulators and CLF have been amazed that EPA could ignore the consequences of greenhouse gases and the global warming...
