ONLY ONE IN FOUR U.S. WOMEN human-resource managers polled by career-services company Lee Hecht Harrison believe that strong women leaders in their companies will reach senior management positions.

"It's striking how few top women in HR believe that talented women in their companies will become corporate leaders," said Nancy Sullivan, vice president of business development for Lee Hecht Harrison's Denver office.

More striking are the Colorado results of the polling, which at times seem a little more pessimistic than the company's national results.
