We all have something to be grateful for, especially in today's harsh economy. Though many, if not all, executives and their companies have experienced loss during the past year, now is not the time to stop giving back.

With expenses being cut in businesses ranging from major corporations to the corner market, many business executives question whether their company can really afford to give back. As Linda Kennedy, associate editor, reports in "The Bottom Line," your company can't afford not to give back. Helping the community can entice buyers to purchase your products, enhance employee morale and create greater awareness of your company. Moreover, by bettering the community you play a role in building Utah's future business landscape.

Despite economic ups and downs, there are many companies that give back throughout the year. As Candace Little, assistant editor, reports in "Giving Year Round," companies like America First Credit Union, Hale Center Theatre and Educators Mutual continually strive to spread cheer throughout the community.
