I'm amazed how many writers come to me and tell me the companies they propose to interview or do an interview on don't invest proper time for the question/answer session or fail to provide quality photos for the article to feature them. Come on! Don't they know a marketing opportunity when they see it?

As one ABM employee recently said, "By gosh, they are turning down free exposure."

Staff at the magazine believes in a tri-fold way to get your business noticed.

  1. Advertise. Don't give up because economic times aren't perfect. In fact, some business consultants say now, more than ever, is the proper time to have your company featured in ads. Alaska Business Monthly offers full-color, glossy pages, with a readership of 100,000-plus. The advertisement here lasts a month or longer rather than a day for newspapers or seconds for television or radio because of the long shelf life and statewide distribution on planes and in hotels.

  2. Send us your press releases and noteworthy information about your company. Get your marketing department or management to promote what you do well, and those who do it well. We accept briefs on awards and promotions in our Right Moves section, and information on office moves, new projects, products, services and start-ups in our Inside Alaska Business section.
