When it comes to geography and current events, today's teens have a bad rep. It doesn't help that a recent study found that half of American high school students could not identify the seven continents, while 14 percent could not even locate the U.S. on a world map!

Sad. But is your parents' generation really any better? Maybe not. Just last month, Republican Presidential candidate George W. Bush failed a pop quiz on four world hot spots (see article, page 11).
