A prisoner sued prison officials under [section] 1983 alleging that they filed a false misbehavior report and subjected him to solitary confinement for exercising his right to file grievances. The district court entered summary judgment in favor of the defendants. The prisoner appealed and the appeals court reversed and remanded.
