Furman ranked among schools making a difference.

Furman University has been recognized as one of the top colleges in the country where students are making a difference in the world.

Furman ranked ninth on The Princeton Review's list, "Top 25 Schools for Making an Impact." The list is in The Princeton Review's "Best Value Colleges" guide to the country's top 200 universities with the best return on investment, according to a news release.

The ranking is based on student ratings and responses to survey questions covering community service opportunities, student government, sustainability efforts and on-campus student engagement, according to The Princeton Review's website. The ranking also considered the percentage of alumni who have reported having meaningful jobs.
