Preface
Missouri Employer-Employee Law
Third Edition
Missouri Employee Law was published in 1969 and included coverage of workers’ compensation and labor law. In 1981, MoBarCLE published Missouri Workers’ Compensation Law, and in 1985, Missouri Employer-Employee Law made its debut.
The first edition of Missouri Employer-Employee Law was planned by a committee consisting of Jerome A. Diekemper, Charles E. Werner, and David F. Yates of St. Louis; Michael D. Gordon and William C. Nulton of Kansas City; and Dean Timothy J. Heinsz of the University of Missouri–Columbia School of Law. Planning for the second edition and for the first edition of Missouri Employment Discrimination was carried out by The Missouri Bar’s Labor and Employment Law Committee, the authors of that second edition, and the authors of this book.
This third edition of Missouri Employer-Employee Law—and the second edition of Missouri Employment Discrimination—was substantially expanded and reorganized. The planning committee
for this expansion and reorganization consisted of Elizabeth Rice, Gerald Kretmar, Timm Schowalter, and Ferne Wolf of St. Louis;
Dave Barrett and Carla Holste of Jefferson City; and Kyle Russell, Teresa Clark, and Dave Kight of Kansas City.
The volunteer authors of this edition are listed in the table of contents and on the first page of the chapter they wrote. The volunteer reviewers are listed in the front pages. The Missouri Bar thanks all of the authors, reviewers, and planners for their service to the profession.
