Fromer to take the reigns at DCO Energy in June.

An independent energy development company based in South Jersey said Wednesday it is welcoming new leadership.

Gary Fromer will take over as DCO Energy's chief executive officer, effective June 1, when company founder Frank DiCola retires from his role as co-CEO to become executive chairman of the board for DCO and DB Energy Assets.

Fromer and DiCola served as co-CEOs over the past several months. Before joining the company, Fromer served as a senior executive at Constellation Energy, as CEO of CPower Inc. and as a senior executive at SAP, DCO said.

According to the company DiCola, who founded DCO with Joe and Michael Jingoli in 2000, will continue to provide leadership for key projects.
