Chauvin Trial Participants to Share Experiences of Increasing Access for Media

Participants in one of the most high-profile criminal trials in recent U.S. history will be coming to Kansas later this year to share their experiences with having the eyes of the world trained on their courtroom.

One of the KBA Media-Bar Committee's goals is to foster dialogue and discussion about media coverage of judicial proceedings, including electronic coverage involving the use of cameras and recording devices. For this reason, we are eager to help present a panel discussion at this fall's Kansas Judicial Conference including three individuals who were directly involved in the 2021 trial of Derek Chauvin, the police officer convicted of murdering Minneapolis resident George Floyd.
