This issue of Armed Forces Comptroller highlights for me how much financial management (FM) education has changed in the 45 years since I entered the field as a newly coined auditor. Training then was the responsibility of the hiring organization, and on-the-job training was its mainstay.


Today as shown by our articles schoolhouses and trainers vie vigorously for students and offer career guidance along with mountains of specific content.
