Editorial
From the Editors
Beginning with this issue, we welcome Alison McQueen to our editorial col-
lective. McQueen is associate professor of political science at Stanford
University. She is the author of Political Realism in Apocalyptic Times
(Cambridge University Press, 2018) and many excellent articles, including
one that recently appeared in these pages. We are delighted to add Professor
McQueen’s judgment to that of the existing team and are grateful to her for
being willing to devote the time and energy required.
Throughout the pandemic, we have seen a sharp drop-off in the number of
faculty willing to review manuscripts. We all understand the stresses created
by the situation and the added familial and academic duties that fell on so
many, and especially on younger faculty. Still, the editing of a journal such as
Political Theory is a genuinely collective enterprise that relies on the exper-
tise of our scholarly community to select and improve essays and to bring
forth the strongest version of our authors’ work. Therefore, it is with great
pleasure and gratitude that we thank those scholars who refereed articles for
this journal from August 1, 2021, to July 31, 2022:
