From the Editors

We are delighted to announce that Professor Verena Erlenbusch-Anderson

has joined our editorial team as review editor starting in February 2024.

Verena is an associate professor of philosophy at Syracuse University, with

affiliations in political science and women’s and gender studies. She has a

rich and exciting record of research and brings a wealth of editorial experi-

ence to this position. Verena is the author of Genealogies of Terrorism:

Revolution, State Violence, Empire and is currently completing her new book

on white supremacist terrorism in the United States. We are thrilled to have

her join us and are looking forward to future collaborations.

With deep sorrow, we also mourn the passing of Shlomo Avineri on

November 30th. Avineri was a revered scholar whose profound insights into

Hegel, Marx, and theories of nationality enriched our understanding of politi-

cal theory. As a member of the editorial board of Political Theory, his contri-

butions shaped the scholarly landscape of the discipline.

Though he is no longer with us, Avineri’s ideas will continue to shape our

intellectual discourse and inspire future generations.
