Basic Bio: I was raised in a rural area outside Camden, SC, where my parents owned and operated a literal mom-and-pop bakery. I attended Duke University. After graduation I moved to Washington, DC, to work as a paralegal in the mechanical and electrical patent litigation practice at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP. The practice group represents Japanese, Korean, and Taiwanese computer and other consumer electronics manufacturers. While working at Morgan Lewis during the day, I attended law school as an evening student—ouch. After graduation from law school, I served as a law clerk for a U.S. Senate Committee before heading west for a clerkship at the U.S. District Court here in Wyoming. I currently work at the Cheyenne City Attorney’s Office.

I can’t stop talking about Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla and SpaceX. With a vision that far exceeds selling cars and delivering materials to the international space station, he is becoming a Thomas Edison scale figure in the world of invention. He’s now revolutionizing the energy industry— something highly relevant to our Wyoming economy.

As a lawyer, I am known for thoroughly researching issues before drawing conclusions.

My most significant accomplishment as a lawyer is arguing a case before the Wyoming Supreme Court in my first year of actual practice.

The biggest influence on my career is a colleague from Morgan Lewis who constantly demonstrated a unique ability to take his work seriously while maintaining the greatest sense of humor.
