Basic Bio: I am a graduate of the University of Wyoming College of Law. I entered law school after receiving my undergraduate degree in Economics and working for the Department of Defense in Washington D.C. as a civilian for two years. I spent the summer after my second year of law school working at Kutak Rock as a summer associate. Following graduation, I began working as an associate at the same firm and I have worked there for my entire career. My practice area and specialty is public finance. I actively practice in Wyoming and have been involved in many financings for various municipal and governmental entities throughout the state. I can be reached at Ryan.Jardine@KutakRock.com.

My best advice for new lawyers is to pay attention to the type of law you want to practice, but also to the type of people you want as colleagues. You will spend the majority of your days with your colleagues and you will be fortunate if you enjoy those interactions, as I do.

The thing that excites me most about my job is the opportunity to contribute to the development of infrastructure that benefits governmental entities and the general public.

The most rewarding part of my job is the friendships I have formed with my clients and colleagues.

When I am not working, I enjoy reading anything. I especially like novels from the late Romantic to early Victorian eras. I read Bram Stoker’s Dracula every year, usually in...
