Basic Bio: My name is Ashley Guritza. I am a Wyoming native. I graduated from the UW College of Law in the spring of 2012. I also received my Bachelor of Arts in political science from the UW in 2009. I joined the legal staff of the University of Wyoming in 2012 as an Associate General Counsel. I provide legal advice to the University on a variety of issues, including export control, intellectual property, and research regulatory compliance. As a lawyer, I am known getting the job done with enthusiasm and a little bit of humor.

My best advice for new lawyers is: Well, I am still a new lawyer. But, never lose who you are, work hard, and always keep learning (read everything you can). And find mentors.

My ideal job would be practicing law in a higher education setting, and I feel very fortunate to have that job.

The most rewarding part of my job is being surrounded by amazing people, including innovators, artists, and scientists.

During my free time I like to fish, shoot trap, go to sporting events (Go Pens!), and work out.
