North Dallas Bank & Trust Co., Dallas, says it decreased fraud losses by 92 percent in 12 months after implementing an integrated fraud detection solution from Advanced Software Design Corporation (ASD) and Parascript. The bank has $950 million in assets and five locations in the Dallas area.

The OASIS check fraud detection platform enables the bank to process images of personal and business checks faster and with higher accuracy than with visual inspection, according to the company. It allows the bank to lower the dollar amount threshold for checks to be verified. Also, it enables the bank to examine checks written for lower values, resulting in increased throughput and reduced exposure to fraud.
