The caption for the Ohio photos in "On the Line" in the March issue was surprisingly restrained--"potential" groundwater contamination, earthquakes "allegedly" due to fracking. There are Pennsylvania residents whose water is decidedly contaminated, resulting in physical harm to people and animals that drink it or bathe in it. Some can actually light their tap water. Streams, too, have been adversely affected. The cause of the earthquakes may not have been proven yet, but fracking is the likely culprit.
